Amazing results for my husband Larry
...so helpful he's going to continue for two more days! When I decided to participate in this fast I wasn't sure if he would join me but I was hoping he would. We made a big move to a new area and off-grid property in March and have a lot of projects going on. At the same time he's been dealing with increasing multiple debilitating health issues and was at the point of needing to drop everything and look for a holistic practitioner in our new location. Symptoms included interrupted sleep, asthma, anxiety, irregular heartbeat, swollen feet, gut issues (feeling full after a small snack), general exhaustion. Going from a very active regular runner to having to stop halfway up a hill when just walking - short of breath/no energy. We've been doing a lot of driving to pick up supplies and it was getting scary as he was nodding off at every traffic light. He was pulling over for naps on every outing when I wasn't there to take over. It was like being married to a different person. So I was very happy when he said yes to the fast. We both started the DIY burn version. I didn't make it past 36 hrs due to feeling like I was bonking on the morning of day 2 (low blood sugar as athletes sometimes experience), and consuming extra electrolytes and salt didn't resolve it. If I was at home that day I could have pushed through but we were on a long drive for a dental appt for him and I needed to feel well enough to drive later. Plus our close friends just had some kind of stomach flu or toxicity so I couldn't tell if I was getting sick or if it was the fasting. After 2 hours and some napping as the passenger, still feeling shitty, I ate an apple and felt much better. I'm still eating lightly and will continue to do so until Larry has finished his longer fast. I thought my intention was a gut reset and to fully embrace our new location and leave the old life behind, but now I see it was actually to help Larry with his health issues. My own fast was optional for now, I don't have any health problems currently. I did drop 2.5 lbs in 36 hrs and lost my sugar cravings.

@Tina Lehman I also have been intermittent fasting since 2020, pretty consistently, not eating from 7pm to 11am or 8pm to noon, with some 24 hr ones thrown in sometimes. It's been easy as I never felt like eating in the mornings anyway.
👋🏼 Introductions - say hello here!
Please post your reply & share: + where you're from + what your intention is with this fast + and optionally something you'd like support / reflection / prayer for. I'm in North Idaho (born and raised near Vancouver BC). My intentions are 1) to step into my higher timeline while practicing discipline, and 2) to see divine release of blessing and true freedom for everyone here to the maximum extent. I'd love prayer for opening my spiritual vision and abundance. 🙏🏼🧡

Hello from the Shuswap region of BC (a recent move from the coast). My husband and I will be doing this fast together. I've been intermittent fasting for about 6 years with occasional 24-hr fasts thrown in. My husband has done a 5-day. I'm doing this one for general overall health with the intention of clearing out any residual baggage from our move. My husband has had a number of new health issues recently related to inflammation so a gut reset is extra important for him. I run most mornings, am thinking I should just walk for the 3 days, to keep the hunger level down... any other runners here doing the same? Thank you to Josh for hosting this and to everyone else for adding to the group energy!
