Little fun side quest
Took a little time out of this week's larger piece to work on this fun little artistic side quest. The wood cut out of the ladybug was very fun to add my touch of stippling color onto. 💜

Now you have me seeing parallels again... Pyrography could also be a good stippling crossover form.

@Andrea Reichard Well, I just bought a new soldering iron... maybe I'll have to give it a go.

What platform do you use to produce it? I used to use Zazzle, but they eat up a huge chunk, and charge you if you don't create for a certain period of time. I had hundreds of product designs but never saw penny one.

It's amazing how much depth there is in the designs.

@Andrea Reichard I still want to see you stipple foil... just to see if it works. 🙂
Getting Started
What are the tools of the trade? Are certain pens better than others? Is there a specific type of paper? Can the technique be applied to brush and canvass? Is the work more comfortable on a tabletop or an easel? Is it better to start with one colour or to have several on hand "just in case"?

How did you discover stippling?

@Andrea Reichard I can relate. I'm in constant communication with the steel as it talks to me through the hammer handle. It's a very tactile trade. I'll stop myself there, before I go on a tangent.
