Your trigger is your territory part 2
SO YOU SAID WOMEN AND CHILDREN. I saw your answers and I want to sit with you here for a moment because what just happened in this thread is bigger than it looks. Almost every single one of you named the same territory. Abuse. Women. Children. Sex trafficking. The most vulnerable being preyed upon by the most predatory. That is not a coincidence and I need you to understand that. But here is the question I want to leave with you today and I need you to be honest with yourself when you answer it. If this ignites something that fierce in you, what are you actually doing about it? Not what do you wish someone would do. What are YOU doing with the gift you carry in the specific space that sets you on fire? I will tell you something personal. There was a time I felt that same fire about young girls. It consumed me. I could not look away from what was happening to them emotionally, spiritually, in their homes, in their minds. So I stopped just feeling it and I started coaching them. The passion was not there to make me sad. It was there to show me where to go. As a matter of fact, it was in helping them that during a group meditation I was leading that I not only found my true gift but discovered that many of the teens I was helping were spiritually gifted. That is what opened the doors. My whole journey of developing my gift and using those skills to help others develop theirs. It was through assisting those that I felt passionate about helping. Spirit leads us into spaces and expands those spaces but we have to follow the breadcrumbs and more than anything we have to start . HERE IS WHAT I WANT YOU TO THINK ABOUT There are people working in the space of protecting women and children right now who are doing it with policy, with legal tools, with social work credentials. But how many of them are doing it with a gift like yours? How many advocates in that space can spiritually perceive what a child has been through without being told? How many counselors can feel the trauma stored in a woman's body before she speaks a word?
