HOT TAKE: Booking brides in your DMs is NOT unprofessional
I got this DM and it reminded me that I used to be that person saying, “Don’t book brides in your DMs they'll get lost.” "Immediately send her your inquiry form link" Not that I thought DMs were *unprofessional* I just wanted to keep everything in my emails, 🙋🏻‍♀️But here we are in 2025, where brides are straight up ignoring their inboxes because all they get are spammy sales emails and junk they never asked for. NEWSFLASH TO BABY RISSY :If she’s in your DMs… she’s interested. Why not spark up a friendly conversation with her??? Today’s bride is a DM first bride. She’s watching your Stories, replying to your Reels, reacting to your weekend BTS. That’s her way of saying, “Hey, I’m curious about you.” In a world where everything is automated → be human first. 💌Ask about her venue. Congratulate her. Get to know her before you send the booking link. And this is your reminder that NO, you are absolutely NOT unprofessional if you’re chatting or booking brides in DMs. It’s YOUR business. You’re the boss. Soooo how are we feeling about DM's lately 👀

I’m personally not a fan of DM’s because I can’t keep track of them as easy but I’m trying to look at them as not (as) annoying anymore if that’s the way things are shifting. 😅😅😂 I’ll forever prefer emails tho. 💌

Price shopping brides is a marketing issue
Not a pricing problem... Brides don’t book the cheapest bridal pro. (well maybe like 10% will) They book the pro who makes them feel like “that’s MY girl.” If you’re stressing that brides only care about your price, here’s the tough love: It’s not your pricing that’s the problem — it’s your content. What we post we ATTRACT. When your feed is just… ❌ 10-second reels of the final look ❌ Captions that sound like “Now booking 2026!” with no story about the bride ❌ Polished pics but zero personality …you’ve left brides with nothing to go on except your rates. Content That Makes Price Irrelevant 👏 ✅ Reels that put me in the chair with you — I can hear your voice, see how you work, and feel the vibe of getting ready with you. ✅ Storytelling captions that walk me through your bride’s fears + how you solved them (ex: “She was terrified her glam would melt in the Florida heat… here’s how I made it last 12 hours”). ✅ Behind-the-scenes moments that show the transformation, the EXPERIENCE, and the energy beyond the hairstyle or makeup. This is why pros like Ally Nicole blew up > her content makes you feel like you already know them. Brides see VALUE before they ever see a price tag. ✨ Homework for you: Scroll your own IG. Would a bride instantly know WHY your different from every other bridal hairstylist and/or makeup artist… or would you blend in and she only sees what you charge?

Turning your captions > inquiries
Instead of captions like: “I was so obsessed with her look!” “Happy wedding day to Lauren🥰” “Glam waves are my fave” Share a story from that day, your clients POV, a takeaway for her like 👇🏻 “Here’s how to ask for this look and why you want X for a summer wedding” - Then break down 3 ways she can ask for this look - Why that style/makeup look summer approved “With 15mins left I totally messed up her bun here’s how I fixed it just in time” - Tell me the thing you messed up, own it, shows authenticity. - Share the 3 things you did to fix it; shows you're an expert. “If you’re getting married in August here’s what yaaaa gotta know if you’re getting glam waves” - Tell me if it's a low maintenance or high maintenance look and why - Share 3 ways to make them last in august (have me stay for touch ups, play your hair is lava until midnight, let me put it in a high bun for your reception) Annnnd if you want even more caption prompts, reels hooks that not only get you views but brides in your inbox 👉🏼 Tap here to steal my content system that took me from 200 yearly inquiries 👉🏻averaging 900+ in a 12months.
