1) I get paid up front; 2) I say this right at the beginning of unruly behavior: “ I respect young people. I like working for children, even if they are disrespectful. I would never be mean or abusive to children.” (Long beat as I look at the adults) “Adults however? If adults aren’t supportive and respectful I feel free to say and do whatever I think is deserved. So lock and load everyone! It’s gonna be awkward!” Works every time!
