Do you know that your job title is the smallest thing about you? 'Clerk' doesn't say you managed records for an entire agency. 'School safety agent' doesn't say you read people and defuse conflict daily. 'Retired' doesn't say 10, 20, 30 years of institutional knowledge. Today, describe what you actually DO — not what your title says or the title you gave yourself. Comment: your title vs. what you really do.

Here we go! This is Fresh Start Friday. Finish this sentence and make it yours: 'I am a woman with years of proven skills, and I am building income on my own terms.' Say it out loud. Save it somewhere you'll see it. Write in your Note app. Copy and paste it to the Stickies app on your laptop. Put it on a post-it. Just make sure you place it where you can see it. Why? Because next week we start counting up everything you're worth. Next week is "Worth Week." Go ahead and post your version of the statement below with confidence.

Today is trash day and it's time to take out the trash. Pick ONE limiting belief — 'I'm too old,' 'I'm just an assistant,' 'I missed my chance,' 'I can't do this',' 'retirees are done earning,' 'what will people think,' whatever the belief is — and write it down. Now cross it out. ❌ You don't have to believe your way out yet; you just have to stop repeating it. Post the belief you're throwing out today (crossed out if you can!).

Here we go with our beliefs. Let's do some examination. Do you say 'My paycheck, or pension, is the only money I'm allowed to make?' Well, this isn't true. Your salary and your pension are floors, not ceilings. Public service, your job, taught you skills the private world pays real money for — we will prove that together.
