Does trade copier need to be open when I'm at work?
Apologies. Its kind of long. Basically, my strategy is meant to be set up before I leave for work, regardless if it executes before or after I leave. It tested pretty well in practice. For context, today was the first day I traded an Apex EA account. Over the weekend, I rewatched a lot of the classroom videos and replay practiced my strategy trying to set up for EA trading this morning. I typically use TradingView (TV) for charts, but from what I read about copy trading, I signed up with Ninja Trader (NT) and the Apex copier on Sunday to try gear up for qualifying multiple EA's Monday morning. I also linked up Tradovate to TV, and Apex to NT desktop. I got up at 3:30am (Hawaii, before work) ready to implement what I practiced. Opened Apex, NT desktop and web, TV, and Tradovate. Couldn't link up Tradovate to TV even though it worked the evening before, Ninja Trader web says I need to fund account before it links to Apex accounts, and I don't know the in's and out's of trading using NT desktop. I ended up opening a single EA bracket trade directly in Tradovate by manually entering numbers from the TV chart. While I'm comfortable with my trading strategy and emotions are controlled, this morning's events/chaos added the unexpected stress that was thought to managed otherwise. Lessons being learned. During lunch, I rewatched Kyle's video on NT copier. That's where the main question came up. It looks like the NT copier desktop app needs to be left open or active. If I set up a copy trade using the NT desktop app, after I learn how to trade using the NT desktop app, does my computer need to remain on while I'm at work for 10 plus hours? If so, do I need to turn off sleep function? I logged into NT web on my phone at work, and it doesn't look like NT web and desktop link up. Kinda makes sense since NT desktop shows Apex accounts and NT web says it needs to be funded. I sincerely appreciate any help people can provide or personal experiences they can share.

The copy trade issue was resolved last night after I watched another one of coach @Stephen Gerald Onyia videos explaining the link relationships between platforms. TI test ran the connections last night, and for the most part, without issue. There was one instance where Apex Trader showed an incorrect instrument/symbol for the follower accounts even though none of the platforms had a differing instrument/symbol. I just flattened everything and kept testing. Thats something I would recommend everyone check when executing a copy trade... go to orders and check everything's correct in copy Trader and trading platform. Yesterday was only one (1) Apex EA account for reasons I described above. This morning, I copy traded four (4) Apex EA accounts. On the computer needing to be "active". I think i found that out too, but I could be wrong. Searched the exact concern online and AI said the the links would be broken if the main device is powered off. I changed my computers sleep settings, but I still have slight concern over leaving the computer on when not at home... with little kids :). Use of a VPS was suggested by AI, but I don't want to take that step and expense if its not in-line with InvestCEO training.

@Stanley Enyinnaya any time. I'm figuring it out too.
Apex Payouts... PA account expiration
Aloha! I'm new to this group, and I've been going through a lot of the classroom content as well as practice trading. I came in with a TV account, and it's my go-to for charts. As I began looking into next steps using prop firms such as Apex, which seems the most discussed, it looks like they've changed their business model substantially from the time the classroom videos were initially recorded. For example, the $50k account now has a max drawdown during EA of $2k. It also looks like the PA account expires/closes after 6 payouts with a maximum payout of $18k. Is Apex still the most favored prop firm, and does anyone have tips on how these accounts should be managed business-wise with the new structure? I'm considering getting several EA accounts at a time, qualifying, and then increasing potential payouts that way. I haven't come across any classroom content yet that describes setting profit/loss limits when using multiple linked accounts, but I hope to get there soon. Wasn't sure if the limits get entered like a $50k account, say $1,000/$500 profit/stop, or if the amounts increase (per individuals risk tolerance/history) to match the combined linked account total, say $5,000/$2,500 profit/stop on five (5) $50,000 accounts. Any help is appreciated.

I'm here to learn, implement, and create less financial stress in my family's life by building something that can last into the future and take the place of my day job. I love being a part of groups that run with a positive common goal. I'm excited to get started and begin growing.
