UPS Call Roll
πŸ“… Trade Date: (8/22/2025) πŸ“ˆ Ticker / Asset: United Parcel Service - Symbol: UPS - Type: Covered Call roll - Strategy: Roll up and out πŸ’° Entry Details: -Stock Price: $89.12 -Contract Details: -Strike: $89 -Expiration: 9/19/25 -Type: Covered Call roll -Premium: $32 -Position Size: 1 contract 🎯 Reason for Trade: With UPS making higher highs, I saw the opportunity to roll the call out for 2 weeks and up $1 per share. This essentially locks in $100 more profit if the stock is called away, and made me $32 in premium. In my opinion, this was a good deal. If the stock trades back down, I could roll back to the $88 strike in a couple of weeks for more premiums without sacrificing my original goal of not selling for less than $88 per share. ⚠️ Disclaimer: This trade journal is for educational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. UPS SWING TRADE, SHORT TERM
πŸ“… Trade Date: (8/21/2025) πŸ“ˆ Ticker / Asset: United Parcel Service - Symbol: UPS - Type: STOCK PURCHASE - Strategy: short-term hold πŸ’° Entry Details: -Stock Price: $ -Contract Details: -Strike: -Expiration -Type: -Premium -Position Size: 14 Shares -P/L: +$20 🎯 Reason for Trade: While in the main UPS position for option calls, I watch the stock price closely. When it took a dip back to below my original entry point, I bought 14 shares with the remaining cash in my account, held 1 day, and sold for a $20 profit. This essentially lowers my net cost per share on the 100 by $0.20 per share. ⚠️ Disclaimer: This trade journal is for educational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. UPS Covered Call Β Roll
πŸ“… Trade Date: (8/19/2025) πŸ“ˆ Ticker / Asset: United Parcel Service - Symbol: UPS - Type: Option covered call roll - Strategy: Covered call Roll πŸ’° Entry Details: -Stock Price: -Contract Details: -Strike: $88 -Expiration: 9/5/2025 -Type: covered call Roll -Position Size: 1 contract -Premium: $85 🎯 Reason for Trade: When buying the UPS stock, my goal was to sell a covered call until the stock was called away for at least 2 dollars a share profit. That being said, I look for weekly rolls or calls to bring in premium without sacrificing the original goal. Purchased at $86.08, calls sold for a minimum of $88 strike. πŸ“Š Exit Details: N/A πŸ“ Lessons Learned: ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ⚠️ Disclaimer: This trade journal is for educational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. UPS Options position Roll
πŸ“… Trade Date: (8/14/2025) πŸ“ˆ Ticker / Asset: - Symbol: UPS - Type: Option - Strategy: Covered Call Roll πŸ’° Entry Details: -Stock Price: $89 -Contract Details: Rolled from an 8/15 $88 strike to an 8/29 $89 strike -Strike: $89 -Expiration: 8/29/2025 -Type: covered call -Position Size: 1 contract -Premium: $1.70 per contract 🎯 Reason for Trade: The stock was in the money, and I didn’t want to sell the stock before next week’s ex-dividend date. By rolling it out, I secure the strike that is $1 per share higher and holds through the ex-div date. The dividend will be $164 πŸ“Š Exit Details: -Roll -Buy to close 8/15 call for $147 -Sell to open 8/29 call for $170 -Result: Profit/Loss + $23.00 πŸ“ Lessons Learned: Mostly, that I’m happy to be able to roll out and up for a profit, while also holding to collect the dividend ⚠️ Disclaimer: This trade journal is for educational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. UPS covered Call
πŸ“… Trade Date: (8/11/2025) πŸ“ˆ Ticker / Asset: - Symbol: UPS - Type: Option covered call - Strategy: Covered call sell πŸ’° Entry Details: -Stock Price: $86.20 -Contract Details: -Strike: $88 -Expiration: 8/15/2025 -Type: sell covered call -Position Size: 1 contract -Premium: $45 🎯 Reason for Trade: UPS is at a 15-year low due to high costs and tariffs, and earnings miss. Although this is a tough time for the logistics industry, I believe that UPS will bounce back as a strong company. It currently offers an incredible dividend, and leaders are restructuring to increase the cash flow and balance the financial statements. I plan to sell covered calls and earn dividends if I manage to keep this stock long enough. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ ⚠️ Disclaimer: This trade journal is for educational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice.
