1. What is your current role or background related to hair, wellness, or healthcare? I'm a trichology practitioner, hairdresser and makeup artist based in London. I own RetroSpect Parlor, a wellness-first hair restoration studio and luxury head spa specialising in textured hair (3A-4C), non-surgical hair replacement and holistic scalp therapy. I've recently launched RipHair, a specialist wig revamp and restoration service. My practice focuses on clients seeking science-based, holistic alternatives to traditional hair loss treatments. 2. What interested you in the hair loss industry? Witnessing the profound impact hair loss has on identity and confidence, particularly for clients with textured hair who often face limited culturally competent care options. I'm driven by the need for proper scalp assessment and education first approaches rather than quick product recommendations that don't address root causes. The intersection of trichology science, holistic wellness and client empowerment is what keeps me passionate about this field. 3. Are you here primarily to learn, build income or both? Both. I'm committed to continuously refining my clinical assessment skills and staying current with evidence based practices. I'm also building my authority through educational content (developing a 13-book "Scalp Story" series) to attract high-paying clients who value science based, personalised care. Professional development and business growth go hand in hand in my practice. 4. What does "success" in this industry look like to you over the next 12-24 months? Success means being recognized as a leading authority in scalp health and textured hair restoration in the UK, with a thriving practice of educated clients who understand the value of proper assessment and holistic treatment. I want to have published my educational content series, established RetroSpect Parlor as the go-to destination for wellness first hair restoration, and built a sustainable business model that prioritises client outcomes over quick fixes. Success is also contributing meaningfully to elevating professional standards in this field.

Hi everyone, good evening. I’m Tanesha. I’m a UK-based Hair and Trichology Practitioner and hairdresser, with a strong focus on scalp health, hair loss support, alternative hair solutions and client education. Hair loss matters to me because I’ve seen how deeply it affects confidence, identity and quality of life. I also see how often people are given product advice without a proper scalp assessment and plan of action, which can delay results and cost clients time, money and hope. I’m passionate about helping clients understand what’s happening, why it’s happening and what realistic next steps look like, without guesswork. I’m here to deepen my understanding of hair loss at the root, strengthen my scalp logic and assessment skills and improve how I create ethical, science-informed treatment plans across different scalp and hair loss presentations. My goal is to grow into a highly skilled practitioner who combines professional care with clear education, so clients feel supported, informed and empowered throughout the process. Thank you for having me here. I’m excited to learn with you all.

@Dr. Leola Anifowoshe, PhD Thank you so much for such a warm and thoughtful welcome. Your words truly resonate with what I'm working to build at RetroSpect Parlor. The connection between hair loss, identity and confidence is something I witness daily with my clients and it's what drives my commitment to proper assessment and education-first approaches. Too often, I see the consequences when practitioners rush to product recommendations without understanding the underlying scalp conditions and individual needs. I'm excited to be part of this community and to learn from the expertise here. The UK perspective on trichology and holistic hair restoration has been invaluable in shaping my practice and I'm looking forward to contributing to these conversations while continuing to refine my clinical skills. Thank you for creating a space that prioritizes professional development and ethical practice. It means a great deal to find a community that values the "why" as much as the "what." Looking forward to the learning ahead. Warm regards, Tanesha
