Hello all and happy Saturday to you. Scanning our list of members, I am delighted. So many great minds here! I am imagining that many, if not all, of you will wrestle with one facet or another in here from a certain factual perspective. "How does that fit with this? Well that's just nonsense." But this is my intention--that you are challenged to look at your life and work through a very different lens. How often do we get that, when we've been trained in the same best practices and conventional understandings? You may reject part or all of this, but I hope it will help you discover surprising insights that help you––all of us––achieve the very big things we so urgently need to do in the world. Myself, I'm tormented by deforestation and the faltering Amazon rainfall pump, skyrocketing CO2 and the faltering AMOC current. All of this needed to be dealt with decades ago. A century. Many have known and done their best, and the vast majority really had nothing to do with the decisions that led here. That continues. We know, we care, and we still can't turn the ship fast enough. Why not? This book is intended to help you reclaim agency and effectiveness, by growing clarity, capacity, and will. We have what we need. Life finds a way! PS. Hi, I have been provided a challenging task of creating an intervention and show results for an executive board of a professional service firm. The executive board are the 15 senior most Partners who have been at that rank for over 2 decades and are in their early 50’s. The irony is that most of them don’t believe they need this intervention as they are candid in sharing that they have limited scope to change. The reality is that being at the apex the change management begins with them, however their resistance or blind spots may become roadblocks for the future as the leaders being nurtured under them are imbibing the same work ethics. The problem runs deeper than one can expect. Would any of you have been through this and have recommendations. Looking forward to hearing some insight from you as well Dr. Tamsin
