I love this question because it's true sometimes our niche chooses us. I worked in LA and Nashville, TN as a live music photographer for about 9 years (covid stopped tours for a while and I made an adjustment). I worked as a house photographer (the photographer responsible for all events at a venue) for years and loved it! The thing is, it was an accident! I was working on film and music video sets, and the musicians involved invited me to photograph their shows and I absolutely loved it! So it became my main focus and later my job. Now I work more in fine art prints and travel photography. My heart is still in live music though! Great question!

@Neece McCoy Working in music photography is an experience I wouldn't trade for anything! Being surrounded by some of the most incredible musicians in the world (I can't play a single instrument, but I have incredible respect for amazing musicians!) and being able to meet, photograph, and experience live music from some heroes was an amazing experience! I'm not up for having a nocturnal schedule anymore though haha! So it's just occasional for me now. Follow the things that inspire you and it will lead you to great photography and great experiences! That's how I accidentally fell into music photography haha!
