This could be a dumb question.. but I’m new to the app. How do we access your Bible study for tonight? Is there a link or will a banner pop up? TY!
Rebound Relationships
Don’t do it. It was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made, and it cost me more than I can explain. If I could go back in time, I would’ve stopped myself and forced myself to stay single—no texting, no dating, no distractions—for a long period of time. When you get out of a relationship, you need time to heal and recover the parts of yourself that were lost. You need to reach a place where your relationship with God is solid, and where you are genuinely okay being alone. Being so solid in yourself and your relationship with God that you could be ok being single the rest of your life. It is lonely—don’t get me wrong. It will be hard. You’ll see someone who looks like a complete green flag walk by, and temptation will start eating at you. But you don’t decide when you’re healed. God does. Even if the next person is “perfect,” it won’t matter if you’re still carrying wounds from the last relationship. Unhealed attachment will eventually surface—and it can ruin something good. That’s why I’m choosing to stay single and 100% celibate for at least a year before even thinking about dating or pursuing a new partner. First, it’s out of respect for the past relationship. You honor the loss by allowing yourself to grieve it fully. If it meant anything to you, you wouldn’t rush into something new—because how you move on reflects how deeply you loved. Being single doesn’t mean you act single. It doesn’t mean hooking up with strangers, clubbing every weekend, or entertaining 20 different people. Being single means sitting with your pain, developing yourself, and drawing as close to God as possible. God bless.

This! This! This! I 100% agree with you. I tried to jump back into dating the last two months only to repeat the same cycle. And instead of feeling heartbroken over this new guy-it just made me think of my ex and relive the heartbreak and want to reach out to him. It was extremely unhealthy and set me back after I fought sooo hard to pull myself out of this dark hole. I have also decided to stay celibate, single, and alone. No hookups, no dating apps, nothing. Some of my friends say it’s unhealthy and I’m isolating but all I want to do right now is focus on my relationship with God and learning to love myself. I hate feeling this pain but the wound is where the light enters. Right? Sending love to you all.
Welcome to Breakups to Beasts: Founder’s Story + Introduce Yourself
Hello, I'm Jay Carvalho, founder of Breakups to Beasts. My journey began in 2021, during one of the darkest periods of my life. I was fighting depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, and broken relationships. I needed a way out of the pain and a path to becoming a better version of myself. Over the years I built routines that carried me through: meditation, journaling, cold showers, reading, learning new skills, and training. I started working out around 14 or 15, when I was skinny, insecure, and bullied. Training became more than physical. It gave me mental strength, confidence, and discipline. Those daily practices helped me heal, make major life decisions, seek forgiveness, grow spiritually, build businesses, and become a more grounded man. Five months ago I went through the worst heartbreak of my life. It led me to Christ. I grew up atheist, and accepting Jesus changed how I see purpose, values, and peace. That's why I started creating content: to help people facing what I faced, and to show a way to live with faith, integrity, and growth. I know what it's like to feel lost and broken, and to wonder if you'll ever feel peace again. That's why I created Breakups to Beasts. A breakup can break you down. It can also be where you rebuild: mind, body, and spirit, as a new, stronger creation. You were not broken to stay broken. This isn't just a community. It's a movement: - To heal and build real clarity, peace, and resilience - To build routines and habits that lead to lasting change - To become the best version of yourself, men and women alike - To lift up the people who are struggling the most I'll walk with you, step by step, day by day. Introduce yourself below 👇🏼 1. Who are you? 2. What brought you here? 3. What are you working through right now? 4. Who do you want to become?

1. Tabatha Bergold 2. Came across your IG reels-currently battling the lowest, darkest time of my life since the person I loved deeply left me and it was exposed how much he was cheating and lying to me, it left me hopeless, confused, suicidal, and with no self esteem what so ever. I just couldn’t understand why he would do that to me. He left without explanation. 3. I have since then found and gave my life to Jesus and the gym. I also found that cold plunging and saunas help. Walking outdoors. Reading certain books and making sure I stick to the plan every day. 4. I broke my foot a few days ago which has thrown off my entire routine that helps me stay positive and almost put me in that dark place again bc I’m stuck at home with my thoughts and no movement. I also still struggle with purpose some days but I know healing isn’t linear. I’m hoping this community helps me find like minded people on the same path to help us all gain clarity, purpose, motivation and stay on the right path. Jay-Your reels have kept me going on those days i wanted to give up. Thank you.
