Drop your BJJ questions in the comments. Try to make them as detailed as possible so I can give you a good answer. If you can’t phrase it in a sentence, don’t be afraid to make a video. I’ll either reply with text, or, if I find it interesting enough, I’ll make a video and post it. For anyone who wants deeper feedback like roll reviews or live coaching, that’s what I work on with my private students. If you want to work with me one-on-one, fill out this form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdgZskbNB-Wghu-BszBs9dPPGITE-HDo78NnRCTFPT1gimcLA/viewform?usp=dialog

What advice would you give for an aging and/or weaker grappler against someone stronger and more athletic? Like goals, strategies, concepts, tactics, and guard game, top game, and stand up to work for a weaker and/or older person. My focus has always been to neutralize their strength and athleticism by attacking the back, neck, or legs. Lastly I aim to be the guy doing the takedowns and the passer so I can wear them out with pressure. However, with some opponents that are stronger and more athletic this proves to be quite difficult. I can't take them down as easily so I have to accept playing guard to either wrestle up, sweep, or sub (in order of preference). I'd prefer to not do this since it wears my body down faster, but it seems like it is the only option. Also I don't want to do the old man game of half guard only. I figured you'd have advice since your game doesn't really seem to be predicated on athleticism and strength, more about being technical than your opponents. How do you envision your grappling to change with age/time? @David Stoilescu

@David Stoilescu thank you for the reply and your input. It makes sense. I was actually harping on my students about this last week when teaching.
