It originated in Europe, especially in the United Kingdom and France, and was heavily influenced by the work of Swiss-French architect Le Corbusier, whose use of raw concrete (béton brut) inspired the movement’s name. Brutalist architecture is characterized by its bold, geometric forms, exposed materials, and a focus on honesty in structure and function. It became widely used for public housing, government buildings, and universities during the 1950s to 1970s, symbolizing strength, utility, and social progress. Brutalism quickly spread to many parts of the world, including communist countries where it found a strong foothold. Hey everyone! 👋 I’m happy to share my work with you — something I finally completed — and I’m also excited to say that I just joined this platform! This project is a visualization of the Islamabad Beverly Centre, a distinguished commercial complex located in the heart of F-6/1 Blue Area, Islamabad. The goal was to capture the modern elegance and functional design of the building, with a special focus on the new Creed boutique — showing how luxury retail integrates within an urban architectural setting. As the sole 3D artist on this project, I handled the entire visualization process — from 3D modeling and materials to lighting design and final photorealistic rendering. Visual Story: The renders transition from full exterior daytime views to detailed interior scenes of the Creed boutique. I paid special attention to materials, lighting balance, and composition to reflect the upscale identity of both the brand and the building. 🙌
