Early Insights from Vision Board Workshop
@Evelyn Weiss - Thank you so much for the workshop - I ended up staying up til 5 am listening because it was so good. I really appreciated the focus on a normal day and the idea of looking at what you are consuming to uncover insights. It was so beautiful how you kept bringing it back to long term sustainability and how we can use our vision to create something that can grow with us. I have been falling a bit into a victim mentality lately in my life and this was a wonderful reminder that I can shape my future much more than I was giving myself credit for. One thing that struck out for me early was looking at my content I really have been attracted to learning about certain Japanese approaches to people and customers. One thing in particular I have been digging deep into is Omotenashi (definition below) and after the workshop I realized that this is very aligned with how I want to treat people who buy from me - looking at the definition I think I can take a lot of this and create some guidelines for myself when I start to feel like I am straying away from my core mission. It's really exciting. Can't wait to dive in deeper on all the other pieces. Omotenshi definitinon: Omotenashi is the unique Japanese concept of selfless, wholehearted hospitality, focusing on anticipating a guest's needs without expectation of reward, deeply rooted in mindfulness, attention to detail, and a sincere desire to provide an exceptional experience, evident from a subtle tea ceremony to product design. It means "no hidden agenda" (from omote meaning "public face" and nashi meaning "nothing") and goes beyond mere customer service to create a truly memorable, respectful interaction. Key Aspects of Omotenashi: - Selfless Service: Providing care and service from the heart, without expecting tips or rewards, unlike some Western hospitality models. - Anticipation: Foreseeing and fulfilling needs before the guest even asks, often described as "reading the air" (kuuki wo yomu). - Attention to Detail: Manifests in subtle actions, like adjusting lighting, arranging shoes for easy wear, or customizing a dish for a guest. - Mindfulness & Sincerity: A genuine, heartfelt intention behind every action, rooted in respect and a desire to bring joy or comfort.

I love this, @Kate Boelhauf! I had not heard of this concept before. Have you ever had thoughts on including some of this knowledge in your content too? I try to follow the Japanese concept of Ikigai, the reason we get out of bed in the morning! I even teach this to entrepreneurs! Amazing stuff! I can’t wait to watch the replay tonight! ❤️

Gratitude for our Mentors
Stop comparing yourself to the people who are meant to teach you. When I first joined Laura Buhl’s community, I remember feeling both inspired and a little intimidated. She made building a stationery business look so effortless. I wondered how she managed to do it all with such ease. But now, I’m sitting at Level 8, the highest level in her group, and I see it differently. She wasn’t showing perfection. She was showing persistence. And that’s what I’ve been practicing too. Evelyn Weiss has also been a big part of my journey. I joined her group as one of the very first $9 founding members, long before any of us knew how much we’d all grow. Watching her build with so much focus and generosity has shaped how I lead and learn today. These two women have been mentors to me, and I know they have been to you, too. They remind me that learning is never a competition. It’s a shared climb, each of us helping the next person take another step up. Science says comparison triggers the same parts of the brain as physical pain. It creates stress and shuts down creativity. But when we shift to admiration and curiosity, the brain releases dopamine instead. That’s where growth begins. So instead of asking, “Why am I not there yet?” I’m asking, “What can I learn today that brings me closer to my dreams?” To @Laura Buhl and @Evelyn Weiss, thank you for leading with heart. And to all of you walking this path beside me, thank you for growing here, too. Who are you grateful for? It’s a good day to have a good day. 💛

Hey Growers, It's been so nice to see how you use the daily self-management sheet, and some of you have been asking when you get the next one. The time has come! Both the bundle and the individual products are now live on Amazon. Here is the link to the self-management sheet: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FN71X8RQ

YAY!
Confession time
So I am using the daily self management sheets, probably not every day and it still ends up like one to do list but I do like using it as much as possible BUT I haven't even started using the planner yet 🙈 I did attend the workshop but didn't watch it all Anyone else? I love the planner and really can't wait to use it but it looks too nice to write in and I don't want to mess it up 🤣 Trying to find an easy way for me to just start with it. I notice that Laura is doing planning sessions and wonder if this could be a good starting place for me.?
