Your story is not “too ordinary” to build a business around.
You may think your experience is too normal because you have lived it for so long. But the things that feel obvious to you can be exactly what someone else is struggling to figure out. Maybe you changed careers, rebuilt after burnout, navigated parenting while working, learned a new skill later in life, or solved a problem through years of trial and error. That is not “just your story.” It can become insight, trust, and transformation for the right audience. The goal is not to be the most extraordinary person online. It is to be relevant to the person who needs your perspective. What part of your journey could help someone feel less alone?

@Robert Gault your story will certainly help many.
The real cost of overthinking is missed momentum.
A polished logo will not replace a clear offer. A perfect website will not create demand. Another month of planning will not teach you what one real conversation can. Overthinking often looks responsible because it feels productive. But sometimes it is fear wearing a productivity costume. Your next level may not require more information. It may require a decision: choose an offer, share it, ask for feedback, and improve from there. Momentum creates clarity far faster than perfection does. What decision have you been delaying because you want it to be perfect first?

Like probably everything. And this post has me thinking. Thanks
You are not behind—you are carrying too much unnecessary pressure.
The online business world loves making people feel late: late to social media, late to AI, late to digital products, late to personal branding. But your business does not need every trend to work. It needs one audience, one meaningful problem, one clear solution, and consistent visibility. You do not need to catch up to everyone else. You need to stop comparing your beginning, pivot, or rebuilding season to someone else’s highlight reel. Build the business that fits your real life—not someone else’s content calendar. What pressure are you ready to stop carrying?
