@Rodney Thompson Outdoor Skills I guess I do survey real quick first. But I get that shelter up ASAP. I know I won’t feel like doing it later and it’s gotta be done!

@Theresa Elliott less paperwork. Lol. Love it! And agreed. I’m far more wary of people I meet while camping.
Ever had a moment out there where everything just got quiet and clicked?
Not the gear. Not the plan. Just — you and the place. What were you doing when it happened? Where the Map Ends, The WILD begins!! Stay Rugged.

@Jim Flach Jim speaks truth!
Woke up thinking about this.
Most people wait until summer to start thinking about trips. By then the best spots are gone and the gear hasn't been touched since last fall. Spring is the window. Who's using it?

We have a quick trip around Alaska planned for in the Camper in August. As soon as things thaw out here we’ll go get it maintenanced and take inventory We have a friend who’s never been here and we’re doing the big circle with him.
Coldest night in the woods?
What was the temperature, and did your sleep system actually hold up?

I was camping with my dad up in the Appalachian Mountains and I was chilled to the bone. I finally told him I was going to the truck and sleep. He called me a wimp. 30 minutes later he was in the truck too. It was probably in the 20s.
