I’m so excited and had to share with people who I knew will understand. Yesterday my neighbor came over to my studio with her daughter and granddaughter who were visiting her for the weekend. She thought they would enjoy seeing it and I was happy to have them. The granddaughter is about to head off to college and we had a nice visit and I answered their questions about pottery and even gave them a throwing demo which they loved. I recently painted the inside of my studio door and hung a mug rack on it and have several mugs displayed there. The daughter asked if they were for sale and said they’d like to buy one. She chose one that I never would have thought anyone would like. I was thrilled, to say the least! This mug (in the photo) is on Brown Bear clay with Amaco Seaweed x3. It’s not super colorful, but has a metallic vibe. It really caught me by surprise but also helped me to realize that just because I don’t particularly like something I’ve made, it doesn’t make it unsaleable. In hindsight I wish I had taken a photo of her with the mug, but I didn’t think about it at the time! Yay first sale!!!!
