Goodbye
I'm sorry, thank you for the help you have provided but I will be leaving the community. I cannot in good conscience stay in a community that so easily dismisses the experience of millions of people to it's the Canadian federal government's fault. Also a community that supports a lie and supports slander and misinformation. I am protecting myself and my country Edit: I wanted to edit this rather than delete as words cannot be erased. Therefore I would like to amend my comment. I unfortunately misunderstood Kelly's testimonial this morning, I should have asked for clarity, I made a mistake. However, the response from some of the community, not all, left me feeling very much dismissed, attacked and not welcome. Due to the brain injury 2 sentences can take a full 5 or 10 minutes to type, therefore I was unable to respond. My first comment during the webinar on Tuesday morning was supposed to just go to host and panelist, I had not meant to send that to everyone. However, the response from some people showed me that this was only safe if I made myself small and minimised myself for everyone else's comfort. I have fought for years to bring myself back from 12 years of constant bullying. After which I was married for 2 years followed by a brain injury and 9 days in a coma. I came home just an exploding mess of unregulated frustration and self loathing. I lost my career, my license, I couldn't walk, I had a horse I could no longer get too, and 3 out of 4 of my pets died. A guinea pig, a dog, and a budgie. Only my cat survived. My husband is autistic so for 16 years I lost my mind and he retreated. I cheated emotionally twice as I was dying, I grabbed for a life line like I was drowning. The brain injury happened on August 7 2006, my 22nd birthday. My in-laws spent 16 years blaming me for everything as due to the brain injury my mask broke but my husband is so good at the mask even his own family didn't know him. They left me out if he didn't come to family functions, as they were convinced I was the problem. They even wanted me to send my kids with them for camping trips so I could be left behind since he didn't want to go and I wasn't welcome without him.

I joined and have been in full panic mode ever since. I am going into debt doing this and on an emotional roller-coaster wondering if I should have done it. Since I don't know how to feel excitement or have any confidence in my decisions, the I told you so brain is saying you messed up AGAIN. You know the whole "can I even do it " doubts. Boy do I have a long way to just get through a day much less learn how to change it. I wish I had someone in my life I could trust and help me make decisions that are in my best interest.
Right on schedule Day 1
Biggest insight: I don't know where to start and don't have the words to express myself. Unfinished Thing: Changing the light bulb over the stairs. How do I feel right now: I feel pain and disappointment.

I know it's last minute
I only just did the first questions and hope it is still up tomorrow. 🫣 This is what it said: Diagnosed at 60 and I always thought the problem was that nobody believed me. Turns out I was so private for so long that they had nothing to believe. The hiding worked. I also knew right away I'd go back to my 12 year old self. I just don't have the words for her yet.

Not engaged
As bad as I need to work this challenge, I can not get engaged with it. Maybe I'm still digging out of the dark pit that became my life. One week I'm my best cheerleader, and the next week I'm my worst enemy.
