I live in Western Australia currently north of Perth. I have written a few short stories for anthologies and am attempting to write my first full length novel. My kids are all leaving the nest and qe will be relocating to Queensland in July ish to take care of my mum cause dad needs help and apparently im a masochist who doesnt know how to take a breather and enjoy life. I had a heart attack three years ago and struggled to read anything or write since but in this month alone i have read 4 books and added to my notebook collection. Attached is my currently messy workspace with my work laptop not my peraonal one because i stuffed up my knee and have to work from home haha.

Meet Ben, the Chihuahua
While I’ve been procrastinating about finishing Covenant, I have been having fun making fake text messages between my daughter and one of her dogs, Ben. It’s a surprisingly complex form of story telling that I have taken some time to get my head around. The texts need to be short, have a hook, a narrative and a punchline to make them funny I’d love to share these with you, for a discussion about the sorry medium, a look at the structure, the process and for a laugh 😁
