I’ve spent the last week actually trying to solve the boring part of building a Skool community: getting people to find it. I’ve been testing Meta ads, posting in different places, watching the visitor numbers, changing the discovery keywords and tightening what Room to Record is actually for. And I think I’ve finally stopped trying to make it about everything creative. It’s for musicians who have the gear, the ideas and probably half a dozen unfinished songs… …but still aren’t recording enough. Room to Record is about building a usable home recording space, reducing friction, improving your workflow and actually finishing music. Free to join. If you record music at home, I’d genuinely love a few more musicians inside while I keep building it.

I started some meta ads this week, and so far have gone from a max of 20 visitors a day, to 63 visitors the first, and 89 the second day with ads. I've made some more small tweaks to my discovery card as well - but the ads are the main push. I only have 1 new member so far, but the new traffic has lifted my mood and helped to motivate me for new content... I also learned some more about taking selfies, using AI to enhance them, and then remembering to ask the AI to NOT allow my skin to look like the underside of an alligator....

Not exactly viral domination, but definitely enough movement to notice. I started running ads yesterday, so what’s interesting is that Facebook and Instagram are now sending more traffic than Skool itself. More importantly, seeing that movement has given me a kick to actually make things rather than endlessly tweak and improve (but I did also adjust my discovery card a little!). So today’s plan: -Two quick car 'videos' -One proper Room to Record video. -A few posts. Then stop staring at the analytics like they’re going to hatch. Traffic is good. Using the momentum is better.
