Welcome! So happy to have you here!
Let's get this Philogyny Party started! Please introduce yourself and tell us what does philogyny-the love and admiration for women and girls mean to you? I'll start... I'm Augustine, author, cultural critic and mentor and philogyny to me is the possibility to shift our gaze. Much as we’ve been taught to pay attention and call out misogyny, (a worthy cause), we’re not as focused on the opposite. The positive change and trends of where we have succeeded, so that we can replicate the results. Child marriage has declined worldwide. The happiest countries are run by women. It’s been proven time and time again that when women have education and financial resources, it improves society overall. Much like feminism, though we have never defined it, philogyny has been in existence since the beginning of civilization. It is reflected in art, literature, human societal structure, historical events, mythology, philosophy, and spiritualism worldwide. Ok, so, philogyny. I want to keep repeating the word. I want to find proof of it. I want to make sure I pronounce it right. Like phyllo dough, but no, it’s not a recipe for Greek Spanakopita, it’s a recipe for the love and admiration for women and girls. Deriving from the Ancient Greek, philo meaning to love, and gynē meaning woman. Philogyny—the antonym of the ever-present and increasingly urgent global crisis, misogyny. Philogyny—as a possible antidote to misogyny, its a word we've never heard of but one we can't live without!

Hello, Ladies. My name is Stosh (short for Anastasha). I have been many things in my life and continue trying on different hats. The one constant is writing. It’s in my blood. I have known the lovely and brilliant Augustine Blaisdell since she was 3. She came into my life as a bestie of my daughter, Evan. I bask in the glory of being a woman and spending time with women. I have 2 granddaughters and wish to see a softer, inclusive, expanded world for them and all of us. I support all that spreading the word and wisdom of Philogyny entails. Spending time with all of you and learning new ways of seeing the world will be a joy.
Greetings
So, we’re not doing a coffee chat today? Next Tuesday?
