🌍✨ Introducing: Carina Nebula
When I was a little girl, I used to draw backstage while the world moved around me. Between storms, oil spills, and tornadoes, I learned early that creation was my shelter. I built sandcastles before I could speak in full sentences — sculpture was my first language. I sold my first painting at five. An art teacher once believed in me so fiercely that she submitted all my work for scholarships — and somehow, that faith carried me to one of the best visual arts programs in the country. There, I majored in Visual Arts Studies and Entrepreneurship & Innovation, studied Italian, Black Feminist & Womanist Theory, and Race in America — and became both skeptical and soulfully curious about the world we create and the one we inherit. My art became my autobiography: from The Lies We Tell Ourselves series to a painting that reclaims my lineage — a multigenerational fuck-off to the past so my inner child could finally breathe, create, and play. I’ve known homelessness. I’ve loved men who reflected the chaos I hadn’t yet healed. I’ve been lost, broke, terrified — and through it all, art has been my lifeline. Every brushstroke, every piece I’ve hung (most recently at New York Fashion Week Gala 2025) is a testament to the truth that art is alignment. Art is the portal. Art heals. And now, I create worlds that remind us of that — for myself, and for others who are ready to remember. I’m Carina Nebula — artist, storyteller, visionary — and I’m here to build universes that hold space for imagination, healing, and the sacred act of becoming.
