I'm just starting... what is the cheapest AI to use on my first AI Agent?
Hi, community, I'm starting right now and need to use an AI API, but I don't want to spend money yet since this is just for testing purposes (trying to learn). So, assuming there is no free AI API to use, which is the cheapest? Thanks!!!!

Deepseek is a good option, if you trust it being a Chinese model....
Crewai n8n node
Sharing is caring 😁 Check out this n8n Crewai node https://github.com/biliboss/n8n-nodes-crewai Haven't tried it yet, certainly will, looks very promising! All your feedback/insights welcome! Steven

Good point! Then it would be nice to mimic an AI crew in n8n and see if outcome is same or even better! Would love to see such a comparison, might dive into it if I find the time 😁

Analysis of DeepSeek DeepThink: Conclusion: While n8n can handle simple AI-driven workflows (e.g., automating GPT-4 responses), it falls short in replicating CrewAI's capabilities for complex, collaborative AI tasks that require adaptive reasoning and role-based agent interactions. The choice between the two tools depends on the nature of the task: - n8n: Ideal for integrating applications and automating linear processes. - CrewAI: Best for AI-native problem-solving involving dynamic agent teams and advanced reasoning. For hybrid use cases, combining both tools (e.g., leveraging CrewAI for AI logic and n8n for workflow execution) can provide optimal results.
Deepseek: create me a n8n json flow to put my Gmail into vector DB
This is crazy! Asked Deepseek to create me a n8n flow. Needed some nudging, and not perfect (just my first attempt) but it is working! See screenshots!

Mem0/memory management
Hi, Anybody tried to Integrate mem0 into n8n yet? https://github.com/mem0ai/mem0 If not, would appreciate your insights on how you treat memory management in the n8n flows: just basic chat memory or other approaches? Thanks for your feedback! S

Infinite memory, like Letta offers: https://github.com/letta-ai/letta Current AI systems, with their limited context and static prompts, don't make sense for practical use. If I share personal details like my profession, age, hobbies, or family, that information should be stored permanently. Also when I say something changed like hobby, it should store that change. Additionally, I should be able to provide details about my colleagues, work, calendar, and more. For example, if I want to plan a holiday, the AI should know when I typically take time off, my preferences, and suggest destinations accordingly. It could also check flight schedules if I ask it to explore specific options, without requiring me to repeat context every time. By integrating infinite memory management, prompts could be dynamically built based on context (as Letta does). This allows the system to think about the question, determine relevance, and return accurate, personalized responses.
AI Assistant node approach
Hi team, I’m excited to be part of the AI Automation Skool! I’d appreciate your input regarding optimizing the AI Assistant node in my workflow. Currently, I have a mail flow where the AI Assistant handles the entire process. However, I’m considering splitting the responsibilities: Using the AI Assistant node primarily for tooling. Passing the output to a subsequent AI node dedicated to formatting and other refinements before mailing. This approach would reduce the complexity of the AI Assistant prompts. I’d value your thoughts on this strategy and would love to see any examples if you’ve implemented something similar. Looking forward to your insights! Kind regards, Steven
