Hi, I'm Steve and excited to be a part of this group. Currently, my main project is a murder mystery that takes place in a large corporation based in South Florida. I'm also working on a non-fiction book on leadership development. My back burner projects include some historical fiction, a dystopian sci-fi novel, and the early stages of a romance novella. I write song lyrics.

@Tracy Stewart I write a variety of genres. Sometimes my lyrics feel more alternative, at other times the theme seems to run toward Latin music, but primarily I write pop.
Let’s Talk Writing Rituals!
Writers, we all have our quirks—maybe it’s a favourite mug, a playlist, or writing before breakfast. Others just scribble whenever a window of opportunity opens! What’s your favourite way to get started with your writing? - Do you have a go-to routine or little ritual? - Is there a snack or drink you always have nearby? - Any unusual habits or “writing superstitions” you want to confess? Share below—no detail too small! Who knows, you may inspire another in the group! I'll share mine in the comments. If you want some fresh ideas to make writing a habit, don’t forget to download our “Writing Habits That Stick” One Pager in the resources section. It’s full of tiny, practical tips!

My writing rituals are as follows: Before I go to bed every night, I think about the chapters I plan to write the next day. Five minutes before my scheduled writing time, I pick my music playlist or decide that I need to go without a soundtrack. One playlist is specific to my current main project. Other playlists focus on a mood or theme. I play musical chairs. When I hit a point where I start to lose my creative flow, I switch to a different chair and face in a different direction When writing in a notebook, at a coffee shop or restaurant, I bring at least 4 pens with me.
