Loved this video, Floss!
Friday win
Getting to the end of a lovely week in Baqueira/Beret skiing with friends. There was a big dump of snow just before we arrived and we have had lots of lovely weather. I also grabbed a few private lessons with a British coach who’s lived and worked here for 20 years or so. And I gave the all in one a run out. Here’s the evidence.

Things to pack
I tend to stay in hotels rather than chalets/apartments on ski trips and often find there’s no facilities to make hot drinks in the room. Whilst coffee etc is served at breakfast, you often have to pay for it at other times in a hotel or it might not be available. So, now I take a small travel kettle and sachets of milk, coffee, tea and hot chocolate with me - all decaffeinated. I pack all those inside the kettle so it doesn’t take up too much of my luggage space. These things can all be found on Amazon; they’re not always available in supermarkets. Also, it stays fresh without a fridge and between trips. In the past, I have bought ‘fresh’ milk in the resort and kept it on my balcony, windowsill etc. when there’s no fridge in the room. I’m interested to know what else are recommended essential items to pack for a ski trip?

@Jocelyn Cockle I put an Aeropress on my Christmas list

The Aeropress is every bit as good as advertised. I’ve got some very good beans and a little hand grinder and I’m brewing up some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. All set for my first ski trip of 2026 and fresh snow is incoming.
So sorry
Hi all .. so sorry I could make the call with a million of other things going on. I am glad you had a great time !

Never mind, had a nice catch up with Steph and Martin. Take care and hope large quantities of fresh snow are incoming.

Hoping to be on the call later. What I’d like is some ideas about how to build up my tolerance for speed. Despite developing my technique quite a lot, I’m always the last one down when I’m in a group.

Late starter as a skier although I’ve done 14 weeks on the snow since 2018. Lucky to have met Floss for the first time a couple of years ago.
