Book Question
Cold Calling Sucks and that’s why it works. Has anyone read it? What are your thoughts on what it had to say?

The book is phenomenal because it talks about how life is Things cost what they cost Things take the time they take When you do what you have to do when you have to do it… Eventually, you can do what you want to do when you want to do it That’s great quote by zig Ziegler embodies how life is
Proactive versus reactive
Most real estate agents operate in a reactive mode. They wait for the phone to ring, respond to inbound leads, follow up when it’s convenient, and adjust based on what the market gives them. A reactive Realtor is always one step behind, dealing with problems after they show up instead of preventing them. When inventory shifts, rates change, or clients hesitate, they feel it immediately because their business depends on outside conditions. This creates inconsistency, stress, and a constant cycle of chasing instead of leading. A proactive Realtor, on the other hand, controls the pipeline. They prospect daily, set appointments before they need them, and create opportunities instead of waiting for them. They anticipate seller objections, prepare buyers before they ever write an offer, and stay in front of their database with purpose. Proactive agents don’t rely on the market, they influence it through consistent action. The result is predictable income, stronger client relationships, and a business that grows regardless of conditions. Steve Powers

Monday Night
Sunday creates the moment. Monday closes the gap. Every homeowner who opened their doors on Sunday got real feedback, real silence, and real clarity. Many made a decision that night… this is not the path, and a professional is needed before next weekend. That is the opportunity. Monday night is not for hesitation, it is for leadership. Show up prepared, bring the listing agreement, bring certainty, and bring a solution. Most agents wait, the top agents act. The ones who step in with confidence and a plan are the ones who get hired. You would be surprised how many sellers are ready to move forward the very next day. Monday night is where momentum is captured and listings are won. Steve Powers WatsonPowers

Sunday Evening
Sunday evening is where leaders separate themselves. While most people are winding down the weekend, top CEOs are locking in their week. They are reviewing, planning, and preparing with intention. They do not wait for Monday morning to “see what happens.” One CEO said it best… I have 25,000 people whose jobs depend on my decisions. I cannot afford to show up reactive. That is leadership at the highest level Success is not built in the moment It is built in the preparation before the moment If you want to operate at a higher level in your business and your life, start owning your Sunday nights Get clear on your priorities Map out your week Decide what matters before the world starts pulling at you Winners do not wake up and hope They prepare and execute Make Sunday night your competitive advantage Steve Powers

Thoughts
Sometimes You Win. Sometimes You Learn. Most agents think they’re either winning or losing. That mindset kills growth. Every missed appointment, every lost listing, every objection that shuts you down is feedback. Winners don’t avoid failure, they extract value from it. They analyze what happened, tighten the approach, and go right back into the next conversation sharper than before. A winning mindset isn’t about being positive, it’s about being accountable. Track the conversations, review the objections, and adjust daily. The agents who dominate aren’t the ones who never get knocked down, they’re the ones who learn faster than everyone else. Go talk to more people today and turn every outcome into progress. Steve Powers
