The only 2 shots I took in Canada, and why.
I spent most of my time with my girlfriend so I didn't take out my camera until I was alone. She ran a marathon on Sunday and thats when I snapped these 2 pictures. The rest of the time I spent tracking her down and taking pictures of her running. my favorite is the one of the runners and building because it was my first time using a wide lens for street photography and I personally liked my composition here a lot with the leading lines. These pictures were taken on my 16-30mm f2.8 Tamron.

Nice color and motion on the first one... and super job on that building - only way I think you could have gotten a better shot without going aerial (because of it's height) would have been to use a tilt-shift lens... Very nice!
Not recent, but there is a story...
I just stumbled into this mini shoot of a 2018 Chevy Colorado that happened back in June of this year. I don't normally do automotive, so this was a little different than how I had done things to this point, because I only ever use the phone as a "snapshot" camera. So here's the reminder in the story; I chose to ingest these photos via bluetooth (first time doing this), and during the process the phone arbitrarily decided to force an update/restart in the middle of the ingest. Now, I don't know what was changed, but what I do know is that when I finally got the images ingested into the laptop, all but two were "garbled" and when I viewed the images on the phone, they too were garbled. So now, I only have 2 out of about 9 or 10 images that were taken of the vehicle. This is also the reason I shoot dual card with the 2nd card being a duplicate in my Nikons - I always have 2 copies of every capture or frame right from the very beginning. I'd be happy with the two photos I did manage to get and save, if it weren't for the cutoff tailgate on the 2nd image, which I think was 5 in the series. I did have a full tailgate shot in the original captures, but it was one of the garbled images that could not be recovered. Fortunately, this was not something that was a paid gig. Moral of the story: If you shoot professionally, ALWAYS shoot professionally, like every capture is a paid session, and USE your regular workflow ALWAYS. Your brain will develop "muscle memory" (as athletes would say) so the more you do, the less likely mistakes or disasters will set you back because your workflow should take these things into consideration. Just my .02 worth. Yeah, I'm tossing in that cutoff tailgate, just as a reminder when I see this post that using my normal workflow could have prevented this.

@Lucas Medina Alarcon I did use lightroom in the past, I kept having problems with the Creative Cloud garbage it installed during an update. So, because of that and the annual cost of the subscription fees, I have exited the Adobe ecosystem. (It was over $1k/yr IIRC for the subscriptions I had.) Now (after this malfunction) I'm only doing wired tether or card transfer. So far, no issues. Just to be clear, I don't believe the issue was with Lightroom, I think it had more to do with the auto restart of the android phone WHILE transmitting files via wireless/bluetooth - at least that's my theory because I have no other way to explain what happened. My experience in over 30 years of IT tells me that the files in question were probably open during the restart and became corrupted as a result. Just another reason why I do everything I can to turn OFF auto updates on every device and software that I own. I do it manually on a my own schedule - when it doesn't interfere with deliverables or work schedule. I'm using DXO Photo Lab 9 now, one-time payment for "lifetime" license. (I need to read the user guide for DXO.) I also purchased ON1 Photo RAW MAX 2026. The latter was probably unnecessary, but I wanted to see how the AI stuff worked... Not really impressed TBH, and their support and customer service is terrible. I haven't had to reach out to the DXO folks at all, install went smooth, and was up and running in less than 5 minutes. It doesn't have all the whiz-bang ghizmos of ON1, but it is a capable replacement for Lightroom Classic in almost every area that I have explored so far.

@Lucas Medina Alarcon Oh, I do want to find a way to have my images available wirelessly on an iPad, so I'm just beginning to explore the possibility. I've seen other togs shoot wireless tether back to a laptop (it looks like they're running Capture One) and the iPad simultaneously and use the iPad as an instant proof viewing device for the client - when present. ...and thanks for the compliment on the forty-fives!
Camera or phone
Hey guys so I want to make some videos about taking pictures on a camera and cell phone. Which one do you want to see first? Are you guys using a cellphone or camera when you go see cars?

I currently have an Android, Motorola G-Play 2024, and the camera (50mp) is terrible compared to the camera quality of my old iPhone 6s. I plan to go back to an iPhone as soon as I get a few Pro Gear photo purchases made as I avoid using the cellphone for anything but calls and text messages as much as I can. Though some of my best sunsets and ad-hocs have been taken with the iPhone. I did use the calendar and notes features on the old iPhone quite a bit, but since I was abruptly forced to switch 'cause an iPhone update fried its battery, I have been weaned off the phone for anything but those uses, especially since I don't hook my cell phone to the "cloud" ecosystem.

@Lucas Medina Alarcon Well, the Motorola isn't a Samsung, and everyone with a Samsung tells me how great they are, and I've checked out a few friends Samsung's, and still not really all that impressed with the image quality. I just don't think anyone in the market currently can beat Apple when it comes to camera image quality or features. So, I'm going to switch back, just holding off another month or so to see if I can get something better than the 13 for the same price as a 13, or maybe cash in on a black friday sale.
More from this shoot and how I was able to shoot this car
Here are the settings I used to bring this car to life! How did I get this car?? I sent DMs to 10 people and out of the 10 I got 2 and of the 2 I shot with 1. Its a numbers game for everything in life!
