I’m ready to get started this week, but while looking through the DistroKid plans, I’ve come across some mixed messaging around the safest account management strategy. Is the recommendation to use ONE DistroKid account per artist, releasing around 1–2 albums per week? Or is it still considered safe to have two artists under the Musician Plus plan, with each artist releasing at that same frequency? Ideally, I'd be looking at the ultimate plan, however, the Ultimate plan allows anywhere from 5 to 100 artists, which is obviously convenient for both users and DistroKid. However, coach Jesse mentioned that all artists under one account are linked to the same DistroKid account number (assuming I read that correctly). That makes sense. My understanding is that, from the perspective of platforms and anti-spam systems, all artists connected to that account may be treated as one entity. This would mean the risk could accumulate at account level rather than being assessed separately for each artist. For example, if you have five artists releasing two albums per week, that is 10 albums per week or roughly 40 albums per month from the same account. If each album contains around 10–14 tracks, that quickly becomes 400–560 tracks per month. I assume this is where release volume could start attracting anti-spam checks, even if the music is spread across different artist profiles. In some of Jesse’s recent videos, he shows earnings from what appears to be an account containing multiple artists. So, moving forward, what is currently working for everyone? Are you now using one artist per DistroKid account, or are you still comfortably running two artists on Musician Plus or five or more on Ultimate? Where would you personally draw the line in terms of safety, and what is everyone else currently doing? Thanks all 🫡

May need to change my bulk download module. Excessive files can be deleted upon request. Will be testing this feature today. This could eliminate some work flow. I’ll report back.
