Are you a fossil?
I might be a fossil. I don’t use Revit to do my drawings. I see many posts about how Revit is the best to use for architectural drawings. I’m ok being a fossil and using vanilla AutoCAD to do my drawings. I can develop clear and concise drawings as well as train others to do the same using plain old AutoCAD. I can do the plan views, the elevations, the details. Create sets of drawings that can be built from. I’m sure I’ll become extinct at some point like the real dinosaurs, but for now, I’m good. If you are a fossil like me and use AutoCAD, come and check out my community, Drafting Workshop. I'm looking forward to connecting with you there.

Most founders think scaling is about more effort. It’s not. It’s about better alignment. The brands that grow fastest aren’t louder. They’re better connected. At Skool of Business Growth, we focus on leverage: → people who challenge your thinking → collaborations that expand visibility → mentorship that shortens timelines Growth isn’t a solo sport. It’s a shared system.

@Elias Rhodes I'll let you know when I figure it out. 🤷‍♂️😎 Realistically speaking, I'd like to do one talking about movies, but that might be later. I'd like to start one that is around my community about doing drawings and blueprints and construction. I'll probably babble on for some short ones as I find my footing and then try and get some some guests to help out. I'd like to try and jump on a few as a guest, but that's probably not easy with no content at all to send in for review. I have a lot that I can talk about, but the building industry can be a little dry.

Building your freelance drafting business. Are you building a successful freelance drafting and design career using non-traditional platforms? Here's a practical plan for you: 1. Identify your niche. Develop and identify your specialized area of expertise and discover where your potential clients and peers gather online. Go where they are. 2. Share valuable content, engage genuinely and nurture your relationships. Offer advice when you spot a problem you can solve. Your engagement reflects your experience and expertise. You’re telling them you’re a pro without telling them you’re a pro. 3. Create a professional portfolio to showcase your expertise. Include ways that you have solved the problems your potential clients are having. 4. Collaborate within your niche. By working together, you can expand your network, learn from others, and potentially attract new clients. Imagine that you can be building a team here. A team that can help you and possibly pull you out of a mess in the future or send you work when prospects are looking light. 5. Lastly, be patient and persistent. Building a freelance business takes time. Stay committed to your goal. Keep moving forward, success is there. Remember, building a freelance drafting career requires effort and perseverance. Even when you are slammed with work, you need to keep this up so that you never slow down. Join my community for more discussions and connections. Drafting Workshop

skool of Business Growth The reason some businesses scale? They don’t do it alone. Most founders obsess over: → funnels → features → frameworks But growth compounds faster in rooms, not spreadsheets. At skool of Business Growth, networking isn’t random. It’s designed. ↳ Talk to people two steps ahead ↳ Share audiences, not just advice ↳ Build with partners, not pressure If you’re stuck, it’s not a motivation problem. It’s an environment problem. Who’s in your room right now? Come to the skool of Business Growth community to post about your community and connect with other founders that are building theirs.
