Etiquette on clothes
Hello, as a new student and member of this group, I was wondering if you have a video, or could do a video, on how to properly tie and wear the hakam as well as respectfully fold and store it after use? Thank you for your time.

@Randy George that's awesome! I look forward to it. We have limited time in class, so these nuanced part of the culture tend to not get a lot of focus. I imagine it's hard to give both novice students and those who have been there for a while what they need in 2 hours

What got you started in training?
Hi everyone! Just curious what got you interested in training? It could be kenjutsu or any martial art. For me I remember when I was in 5th grade there was a martial arts demonstration at my school that really made me curious. In high school I took a few women's self defense classes and once I graduated I took the chance and started training in Taekwondo. I have been involved in martial arts pretty much since then with only a few breaks. So what got you started?

Personally, I enjoy the idea of a sport that is also a school. Having played soccer when I was younger, I found that everyone was so obsessed with being better than everyone else. In Martial arts, we help everyone achieve their own potential as a community
