That is what I did as well. I bought my equipment then went out and did a pasture job for my brother in law. Then I went and opened some trails for my dad. Both were very different with terrain and density. Experience is the best teacher. The added benefit was it gave me an opportunity to see what I would charge for different jobs. It was surprising what terrain could do up slow down the whole operation. Density too, terrain especially.
I am just getting started. 0 was my previous average. I am going to enjoy living my dream and earning an average of 20k each month for the next 90 days.
I’m a starter. I just purchased and picked up my equipment. $0 is for my last 3 months. Have LLC and insurance set up. I just booked two jobs today. Looking to learn and grow my business.
@David Zybin I am in Ohio. I’m close to Indiana border. I just got my policy about a week ago. My insurance is around 400 a month which includes. Truck, trailer, liability, inland marine, and an umbrella policy
I’m just getting started as well. I went and after getting rates for renting, compared them with packages that were available. After negotiating for a couple weeks was able to secure a track loader and high glow forestry mulcher at 0 percent for 60 months. My payment a month is about what a day rate was for renting. I am just getting started as I noted, but that is the path I chose. Thanks for your service. I am a veteran as well.
