To clarify there are "two levels" of visibility from my perspective, you can make your profile to show as "available to work" for recruiters but also more publicly with the green graphic. Definitely get the recruiters one but have always been in two minds whether the more public one helps much given recruiters are generally the main audience looking for these things.
