American living in japan. teaching myself how to do this stuff.. I have no peers or friends in the hobby so this page seems like cool place to learn some of the trade. I've been welding here and there for two years now. been building cars my whole life and got tired of paying for fab work! pic of my work and my current ride. No welding background… just watching online videos on TIG. I know enough to know, I don’t know much at all. LOL! I have a lot to learn but that doesn’t discourage me. I’m very excited to get back to it this weekend. First pic is steel coupon and second is stainless coupon. I was trying different amps and pedal control. Also don’t think I sharpened my tungsten correctly either. Any advice is appreciated. @Grant Pratt appreciate your videos, they are great motivation... I always wanted to learn to weld as a hobbyist and I've finally taken the leap.. thx 🙏 Steve
