📌 Lunch With Steve — Live Tuesday (Noon ET)
If you enjoy thoughtful conversations about building things online, solving problems, and sharing ideas with other creators and solopreneurs, you are welcome to join me for Lunch With Steve Tuesday at 12:00 noon Eastern. It is a relaxed live call where we talk about whatever is on people’s minds; online business, websites, courses, communities, marketing ideas, and sometimes a few unexpected topics along the way. No presentations. No pressure. Just conversation. If you would like to stop by, you can contact me for the link. Would love to see you there. Bring a question, an idea, or simply your curiosity.

⭐ Busy Isn’t the Same as Progress
Since joining Skool on November 12th, I’ve been going nonstop. Learning in other communities, participating, asking questions, leveling up. In many of the groups I’m in, I’m already at Level 5 or 6, simply because I’ve been here to learn as much as I possibly can. At the same time, I’m building my own communities, and that takes focus, time, and energy too.

@Cristal Vancarson You are doing exactly the right thing. Stay alert for procrastination, overwhelm, and self-doubt. Those are the top three progress killers. Like a game of wack-a-ole, they need to be put down the second they raise their head! You are doing well. Let actions and results be your guide; not metrics. Numbers serve their pupose but we can easily be seduced by them, chasing them instead of our purpose. Continued growth is about doing, not counting where we have been.

We all want more traffic… more eyes on what we have to offer. 𝐒𝐨 𝐥𝐞𝐭’𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐚 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 🔴 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, 🟢 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐋𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭! And everyone in 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 is welcome to play (premium or not). 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬! 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝: Drop one short sentence about your business in the comments. Short. Not an essay! The community will respond with: 🔴 Red Light – Needs more clarity (with note) 🟡 Yellow Light – Getting close (with note) 🟢 Green Light – I’d want to know more 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬: If you give a light, add a quick note explaining why so they can improve their message. 𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒈𝒆𝒕 a 🟢 Green Light, you can 𝒔𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒌. If you get a 🔴 Red or 🟡 Yellow Light, refine your sentence and reply again so we can see the evolution. ⭐ 𝐓𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲’𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫: The person who gives the most helpful feedback to others! Let’s see who gets the green light first. 🚦

@Heather Boers Team work!
Kristi's Google Buster!
According to a new survey of adults, the two most thankless chores are cleaning the toilet and ___________. Whatcha think it is?!

If I had to make an educated guess, @Heather Boers, I would say the other one is taking out the trash. It has all the right ingredients for a “thankless chore”. It is unpleasant. It has to be done regularly. If it is done, nobody notices. If it is not done, everybody notices immediately. Other contenders, I would think, are doing the dishes, cleaning the litter box, or folding laundry, but taking out the trash has that special quality of being both necessary and completely uncelebrated. So my wager would be: cleaning the toilet and taking out the trash. Now I am curious; was that the answer, or did the survey surprise us?
Hold your family a little tighter today.
This winter has been a hard one in our small Northwoods community. Over the past couple of weeks, three friends of ours have been involved in two separate life altering accidents. One friend was involved in a severe snowmobile crash a couple weeks ago and has been in the hospital with multiple injuries including bleeding on the brain. He has thankfully come out of the coma and is awake, but still isn’t able to speak yet. Last night, two more friends were struck by a car while leaving snowmobile races. One is currently in critical condition in an induced coma, and the other is recovering from a broken hip. These are good people with families who love them deeply, and right now those families are facing some very heavy days. If you’re the praying type, or someone who believes in sending good thoughts into the world, I’d be grateful if you kept them and their families in mind today. Sometimes life reminds us how fragile it all is. Hug your people a little tighter tonight.
