Today, I did a social media visibility check-in using the Beacons AI assistant Beam and made some interesting discoveries. My Instagram engagement is above average (makes sense now that I looked at my analytics, but I wouldn't have guessed based on my low average number of likes per post). My LinkedIn is an even stronger source of engagement, even with a smaller audience. I'm not focused on LinkedIn, but it appears there's an opportunity for more connection there. I've been sharing occasional posts and my 2x/weekly blog posts (most weeks ;-). I'll probably add regular LinkedIn posting (2x/week) back to my content schedule. I'm also adding a regular social media check-in like this one to my workflow, maybe every 2 weeks. While I don't believe we should live in our stats and analytics, I do support regular checks that give us guidance for what's working and where to focus our attention. Just like weighing daily, daily engagement checks give us too much information and cause worry about things that are just random blips. Overall trends, though, say weekly or monthly, give us more useful guidance to apply. What's your strongest social media channel for engagement? If you already use Beacons, find Beam on your home page or Analytics page. Here are the prompts I used to get the details above: "What do my engagement levels say about my social content?" "What are the top content themes to repeat from the last 7 days?" If you're not using Beacons yet, I highly recommend it as your link-in-bio hub because it allows you to A) set up a free shop, B) link to offers hosted elsewhere, and C) monitor your social statistics with free detailed insights from the built-in AI assistant. You can ask questions like, "What kinds of posts drove the most engagement this week?" and "What topics have my audience responded to best in the last month?"
