Levels and Points in SKOOL
I’m sure you’ve noticed the points / levels system. We haven’t really activated its full functionality. Most of it leans hard into gamification — locking comments, unlocking perks, status ladders — and that’s never been the core intention here. What I wanted instead was a paywalled space where, once you’re in, everyone is on equal footing/ hierarchy. No throttling participation. No artificial gates. That said, I do appreciate that Skool actually rewards engagement — especially compared to platforms like Facebook, which charge you, mine your data, and give nothing back in return. And I want to be clear: I’m genuinely grateful for those of you who have leveled up simply by showing up, contributing thoughtfully, and helping shape this space. That wasn’t lost on me. So while I’m still not particularly interested in running this as a gamified system, I am open to acknowledging meaningful participation — likely through occasional thank-yous, surprises, or small prizes for people who are actively adding value. Not points for points’ sake.Just appreciation for real engagement. This space works because of that.
