Hi! Not sure I have had many key wins this week as I’ve not run as much mainly due to a busy work week and a bit of fatigue. I have managed a couple of strength training sessions though. Obstacles are always the same… time, work, motivation, confidence !
Make a list of all the things you believe stress you out. How many of these are you in control of? How would your life be different if you just focused on the things inside your control?
Work is probably the most significant stressor for me! I am constantly trying to figure out how I can manage it better. Some of it is the physical act of doing the job and the rest is the psychological stuff that comes alongside it. I try and tell myself that I can only control what I do and I have to try not to let politics of work etc impact on me. It’s a challenge though! Running gives me a space from that but after a long day, it’s not always easy to find the motivation when I want to curl up in a ball! Going for a run is in my control though ! I try and be mindful and stay in the present .
Hello!! Nice to be here 😊 1) my goal is the get through my first long trail run which I’m doing on my own this Saturday - with other people but not with my husband ! He’s usually with me. I’m a bit anxious about getting lost - and all the hills! 2) Obstacles- definitely my confidence and anxiety!
