8 x 10 Oils on panel. This one was challenging! I didn’t quite nail the shape of the bowl or the shadow, but it was fun to paint.

You learn so much when you paint an egg for the first time. The importance of tonal values, chroma control, colour mixing, understanding the different shadows and highlights, direct light, reflective light, sharp edges, blended or softened shapes and a host of other stuff as well. Maybe everyone should go to work on an egg at some point within their journey. 😂
