HAPPY MUSICAL MONDAY!
🎸 Let's talk guitars! If you could own any guitar from any guitarist, from any era, and any brand, which one would you choose, and why? Personally, I'd pick Willie Adler's ESP WA-600 in the camo finish. I've always loved the punch and aggression of Willie's tone. It perfectly complements Lamb of God's riff style, with that thick midrange-heavy sound that I try to capture in my own playing. The camo finish also fits the band's "Redneck" vibe perfectly from their Sacrament album, making it one of the coolest signature guitars ever made in my opinion. I love playing Lamb of God riffs, so owning a guitar that captures their guitarists signature sound would be a dream. And honestly, the camo finish is just the cherry on top. What's your pick?

HAPPY MUSICAL MONDAY!
On a quick note from yesterday, happy Father’s Day! I hope everyone had a great day spent with their fathers, guardians, or children if you’re a father yourself. Now for today’s note — let’s look back at last week’s project. We all set a goal and made small changes to our habits to become more consistent and work toward it. For me, my goal was typing, and in just one week I made solid progress with both my speed and using my thumbs less. But why was that? A lot of people think it’s impossible to improve or learn a new skill in only a week. Spoiler alert: it’s not. Progress can happen way faster than you think — sometimes even in just a few days. So let’s bring that same idea into this week and apply it to our guitars. Below I’ve attached a simple beginner workout for single-string alternate picking. Every day for 15 minutes, try to go through the exercise at the highest BPM you can handle while still playing clearly. Then each day, push yourself a little faster. Do you think by the end of the week you can increase your speed by 25 BPM?

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!
It’s the end of the week, which means the end of our five-day challenge! Let’s hear about your goals. Did you achieve them? Did you face any struggles along the way? Has anything changed in your routine that you think will stick? Personally, I did pretty well with my goal 😄. On Keybr.com, I reached the last letter on my keyboard and even increased my typing speed just a little! More importantly, I’m using my thumbs much less when typing. Overall, I’d say I achieved my goal of staying consistent, and practicing typing for 10–15 minutes each day might become a new part of my routine whenever I turn on my computer!

Let’s try something new to kickstart this week! Apart from practicing your instrument, what’s one goal you want to set for yourself this week, and how will you stay consistent with it? My goal this week is to build a habit of practicing my keyboard typing. I use my thumbs a lot when typing, and they get pretty sore from moving so much 😂. Every day I'm going to spend 10 minutes on keybr.com practicing hand placement and 5 minutes on monkeytype.com to test my speed. What is your goal this week, and how are you going to achieve it?
