INSIDE TRACK #1 - Rami Gabriel - Hybrid Aesthetics in Reinventing Tradition
Hey everyone, really interesting talk and concert coming up this Sunday! We think this will be insightful, check it out. *** We launch this week INSIDE TRACK, a series of music talks & workshops, with our first guest: Chicago-based composer, musician & professor RAMI GABRIEL. A multi-instrumentalist who mastered the foundations of traditional SWANA music, Rami has taken the oud and buzuq into bold, unexpected directions: weaving them into blues, jazz, noise and post-punk. His work embodies hybridity and experimentation, shaped by years of performing across Canada, the US and Europe, and by his deep exploration of improvisation as a living dialogue between cultures. Join us for this first Inside Track: Hybrid Aesthetics in Reinventing Tradition, where Rami will share and demo his approach to improvisation, tone and cross-genre composition — followed by a free solo concert. 📅 Sun Nov 16 TALK 🕗 6:00-7:00pm 🎟️ Free Entrance LIVE 🕣 7:30-8:30pm 🎟️ Free Entrance Inside Track is a series of Talks & Workshops presented by Station covering music-related topics.
