The Mystery Yokealong is back!
Our Mystery KAL is officially back for year three! We’re knitting a top-down round yoke sweater (or a steeked cardigan) together over seven weekly clues, kicking off on January 16th. This year, we’re leaning into stash-busting, so feel free to start hunting through your yarn collection now. You can get all the details on the Ravelry pattern page or here on Skool in the dedicated Classroom where I’ll also be posting all the relevant video tutorials as clues become available. We’d love for you to jump in and share your yarn picks, questions, and progress photos. Just use the "MYAL 2026" category for your posts. Heads up: we aren’t doing spoiler alerts this time, so feel free to post away in whatever way you like just as long as it is in that category! I can’t wait to see what you all come up with this year.

Super excited for the new mystery knitalong and happy to use heavier weight yarn this year!
And that’s a wrap for MYAL 2025!
Thanks so much to everyone who joined the Live Fashion Show! It was amazing hearing your stories and seeing all your awesome projects. If you missed it, here’s the recording so you can catch up! Most of you said you’d love to do this again, so it’s definitely looking like it’ll happen. 😍 The only question now is about the yarn weight. I know the group might be a bit biased since you just finished a fingering weight sweater, but let’s hear what you think anyway—what should next year’s MYAL yarn weight be? 🤔 Share your thoughts in the comments if you have strong opinions about a specific weight and the reasons behind it! 🙏

I would love to join next year (even though my project for this year isn't finished yet) and I think DK weight would be an amazing option, because it knits up faster. I loved the geometric motif this year and it would be amazing to have a geometric design for the next year too 🤩

❗IMPORTANT: Be sure to post your work-in-progress photos as comments in this thread only, so they don’t pop up in the feed on their own. . Now that we’re finished with the colourwork and the CC is freed, so we can add that neckband and finally ease everyone’s worries about that wide neckline. I’ve got a few reasons why I like to add it at this point, and I go over the main one in the tutorial for this clue. . If you’re sharing on other social platforms, don’t forget to add a spoiler alert! You can use your yarn or grab one of the pre-made images here: https://go.zaneteknits.com/myal2-covers. . @Irene Kwinten I've also decided on the same thing - I'll finish the body hem once I have the sleeves, otherwise I risk making my sweater too short.

@Sarah Brooks I rarely change to smaller needles when doing half twisted rib as is the case for this pattern, because half twisted rib doesn't flare out the way regular rib does.
Clue 4 is now live—and Im ready for the wave of "hate" :D
❗Important: Make sure to post your work-in-progress photos as comments on this thread only, so they don’t appear the feed on their own. . I know this might stir up some opinions, but honestly, I’m not one to insist that everyone follow a pattern to the letter. It’s more like a recipe—open to interpretation. Throw in your own twist to make it fit your style and patience level; it’ll be more fun for everyone which is why we're here! And congrats on making it to the half way point! . I'm done with clue 4 and well... I'm done with the body too. 😅 I had already decided I'm going with a more fitted and cropped sweater, and because I have a short torso, the new mosaic piece lands perfectly on my natural waist line. 🤩 I am bit sad to be missing out on next weeks fun, but I'm so incredibly happy with how the sweater looks now! I keep being more and more excited every time I knit it and when I try it on I just don't want to take it off. I did small modifications on the end of colourwork because I wanted to finish it and I won't be continuing with the body. And I loved embroidering the braid again. 🤩
Clue 3 is out!!
❗Important: Make sure to post your work-in-progress photos as comments on this thread only, so they don’t flood the feed. . Some of you thought this clue might bring the ladderback jacquard, and others were worried the braids might be making a comeback. I’ll let you check it out yourself to see the details! ☺️ . It's late Sunday night and after a crazy, crazy week I barely managed to finish the clue 3. I really didn't think I'll make it, yet here we are! 🤩 This clue took me 10.5 hours to knit and i was so excited by how stunning the sweater is, I forgot to take a picture, so here's a funky screenshot from my tiktok video 🤣 Also, I keep thinking that the design looks like ancient dwarven ruins and thus I have decided that any misplaced stitches are just part of the whole aesthetic. I love how this is turning out and I can't wait to have the finished sweater, I intend to wear it all the time.
