Advice on workshop structure
Hi all! 🖐️ I will deliver an online workshop on constructive feedback and recognition (2 topics in one training). I am limited as I have a script and presentation created by my company, and I am advised not to delete anything. However, I can make some changes in terms of activities etc. At the moment, the structure is 2 big parts, 1 h - about feedback, 1 h - about recognition, and inside those parts, we have bits of theory and practice all mixed. My idea (and question): would it be better to make the first part a theory (recognition + feedback) and the second - a big practice part with fun activities, roleplays, reflection etc.? What do you think? What can be the pros and cons (risks?) of each approach? Thank you so much! 🙂

Hi there!
I am happy to be a part of this amazing facilitators community 😊 I´m Ukrainian, based in Lisbon, nature lover and language nerd. Currently working as Credit Analyst but would like to transition into L&D. I´m interested in facilitation and designing workshops. From time to time, I facilitate sessions in my organization (collaboration sessions, brainstorming, check-ins). I enjoy helping people to collaborate, resolve issues, and learn together; this all gives me lots of inspiration and energy, and a motivation to grow. As of today, the biggest professional challenge for me is to find opportunities to practice my facilitation skills. What about you, is there anyone out there who transitioned to facilitation and training from a different field? Share your story 🤓
