My birth sparked a lot of emotion for me and ultimately created a passion for birth work and helping prepare moms for birth l, postpartum as well as just being a sister. Hi everyone! I’m currently in the process of building out my business, Under the Same Sky, and I’m hitting the 'tech phase' of website and domain setup. ​I’d love to hear from those of you who have already set up your own sites. If you don't mind sharing, I have a few questions: ​Platform Choice: Did you go the DIY route (Squarespace, Wix, etc.) or hire a designer? How did that decision impact your business early on? ​Domain/Email: Did you run into any major 'gotchas' when setting up your professional domain or email? (I’m currently looking at Google Workspace integration). ​Reflections: If you could go back to the beginning, is there anything you would have done differently when setting up your online 'home'? ​Integration: Any 'must-have' tools or integrations (like booking calendars or intake forms) that you wish you had implemented on day one? ​I’m aiming for a clean, professional, and accessible site, and I’d so appreciate any wisdom or 'lessons learned' you’re willing to pass along. Hey sisters, I am so freaking excited to dive right in. I am not new to Lisa she is the fire I have known I need to get this business of mine off the ground. I have a deep passion for women's health. I have always wanted to work in the birth space. I aspired to be a midwife when I was younger and yes I did explore that avenue and it was an expensive exploration. After 13 years as a high-risk labor and delivery nurse I have come to explore the doula/coaching world. I know that I can save women from having traumatic birth experiences. I want my sisters to enjoy the most beautiful transformation of their lives. Every woman deserves to experience joy and happiness even with a high-risk diagnosis. I use my compassionate compass framework to meet women where they are at and support them making sure the day they meet their baby is the best day of their lives no matter how it happens. I am excited to be here and support you all as well. This can be a lonely journey.
