🚀 Free Live Workshop This Saturday
Most people start a Substack thinking growth comes from writing more. Then they publish for weeks or months and wonder: Why isn't anyone subscribing? How do people actually get their first 100 readers? What growth strategies are worth spending time on? The reality is that growing a newsletter isn't just about writing. It's about positioning, distribution, engagement, and building systems that compound over time. That's exactly what we're covering this Saturday, June 21 at 10:30 AM EST. During this free live workshop, I'll walk through: ✅ The foundation every successful Substack needs ✅ How to position yourself so people actually subscribe ✅ The growth channels I would focus on if I started from zero today ✅ How to turn readers into an engaged community ✅ A live breakdown of my own newsletter and growth strategy 🎟️ Save your free spot here:https://william-leroux.kit.com/workshop (Registration closes June 20.) Happy to see you there if you are looking for a fastest way to grow, accountability, clarity (and connecting with me!😁)

Hey. June 21st is Sunday. Saturday is June 20th.
Should we use more Recommendation?
How many of you actively use recommendations or partner with other creators on Substack? Most people know they exist… but very few actually use them consistently. The truth is, some of the best growth opportunities come from building genuine relationships with writers who are on a similar journey. Not by asking for favors. By making real connections and recommendation is one of the best way to grow, when you are consistent. 🎯 Thursday Accountability Challenge Today, I want you to do one simple thing: 1. Search a keyword in your niche. 2. Find 5 creators who are around your stage. 3. Send each of them a thoughtful DM. For your DM, start by showing that you genuinely read their work. Share something you found valuable and ask a thoughtful question about it. Most creators are happy to talk about what they write. Then mention that you create similar content and would love to support each other through a conversation, recommendations, or even a future collaboration. (You will get better reply most of the time) You never know where one conversation might lead: - a recommendation - a collaboration - a friendship - or simply a new perspective that helps you improve. - 📊 Accountability Comment below once you've sent your messages (or tell us how many you sent) 👇 And answer the question from the top: Do you currently use recommendations or creator partnerships as part of your growth strategy? By being accountable, we will grow and we can all support each other!

Live Growth Board Week #10
Welcome back to a Live Growth Board! (We have a bunch if new members!) Where you get the chance to see your progress each week, ask question and be accountable. Which is the best way to grow on Susbtack and in this community too. Each Monday, we share our work, stats and progress in the classroom! It’s also a great way for me, and the community, to support and cheer each other on. Just share your update like I did below 👇 For me: Subscriber count: 1600 (previously 1562) Open rate: 22% (previously 24%) Notes published: 21 (previously 22) Growth comments: 250 (Growth comments is one of the main action that drive me growth, you find more details in the Substack Accelerator Classroom work: I created a new section called Substack Stages and Services where you can discover what you should focus on based on where you are, go check it out! (A new way to stay accountable!) I gained 40 more subscribers this week, all thanks to commenting, you can see the difference with my comments now and the previous week.💪

I definitely don’t know how you do 35 comments a day. I doubt I could find that many things to leave a comment on in one day. Most days I’m lucky to find 5.

Why you’re not seeing growth (even when you’re active)
Every Thursday we do a small accountability sprint in here. Because most people don’t fail from lack of effort… they fail from lack of consistency in the right actions. I’ve seen it myself before building this system, and I still see it with most new creators:they post, they try things, but nothing really compounds. And the real shift usually happens when you start doing the boring fundamentals consistently, not more strategies. That’s exactly what I built inside my Comment Method system (especially Module 3), where accountability + daily engagement becomes the engine of growth. 🎯 Thursday Sprint (keep it simple) Pick 2–3 things max: - Go leave meaningful comments (or engage with posts in your niche, at least 15) - Send 1–2 DMs (subscribers or potential partners, at least 3) - Improve ONE thing: Just execution. 📊 Accountability Comment below what you did today.👇 Question: What’s the one thing you’ve been avoiding that would actually move your growth forward?💪

@William Leroux I commented on 3 and one of those turned into a potential podcast interview.
