@Andrew Dunn I feel like your two comments are super connected. It would be possible to use AI to get to an end product faster, but you might lose important benefits of the slower human process (e.g. building understanding, buy in, trust, and recognition of the deeper intentions). Ultimately, the manual is a record of agreements made between humans, so unless the agreements are real, the manual is just words. And for ritualization, different groups ritualize in different ways, but one of the most basic ways is just a formal decision making process. A vote at the end of a consensus building process is its own kind of ritual. Anything that marks that transition from before the agreement to after it.

One place I think AI is very useful is in organizing existing agreements. Its super effective to just drop all existing policies into claude, write mediocre versions of verbal agreements, and ask it to produce a draft and find inconsistencies.
