The Challenge Is The Fun Part
If you're struggling, maybe even feeling threatened inside your own business right now. You're not alone, me too. You know the AI space is quickly moving and has a lot of competition. So I feel the pressure all the time. I won't offer up how you should feel about it, the pressure -- But this is how I handle it, if that's valuable to you. I look at what needs to be done and I get to work, I see it as a fun (call me crazy) challenge. I mean, the fact that you can lose, also means you have a chance to win, that is a lucky gift to have. The chance to be the best, especially if you believe in yourself. What a lucky place to be in. I kind of secretly love the challenge, in the most uncomfortable way possible. I mean business is competitive. Sports are competitive. And it should feel like it. If it wasn't a challenge, I mean... how much value could there really be in what we're doing? So, maybe not the perfect mental frame to make everything feel fine and dandy, but maybe just the thing you need to pick yourself off the ground and get to work. The best mental frames don't make the anxiety or fear leave, they just make it possible to move forward. And hopefully move forward quickly.

Hi @Stephen G. Pope you’re absolutely right! We should keep moving, it hurts, it’s frustrating sometimes, but that’s the process. A baby when starts to crawling, it falls so many times, but doesn’t give up. Then starts to walk, get hurt, but never quits, it continues trying until succeed! Once we grew up our scarcely of failing makes us to doubt ourselves and our feelings try to protect us pushing us back to the comfort zone. I feel exhausted, mentally, for thinking situations and projects. I’m working every day to make 1% progress to my goal and break the paradigm. I felt a connection in this group, of mature individuals who are more interested in learning and help others. I’m so glad to pay my subscription as long as I can!

Don't Trade Ignorance for More Ignorance
In the world of online marketing, one of the most commonly taught strategies is to be contrarian—to take an opposing view. This approach is powerful. It creates a compelling marketing message and can grab attention. But in the pursuit of being contrarian, there’s a dangerous trap that many fall into: trading one ignorance for another. The Trap of Contrarianism When you take a contrarian stance, you're often positioning yourself against an existing belief, claiming that the other side is wrong or ignorant. But if your opposing view is just as uninformed, you're no better off—and you may even come across as foolish. You risk becoming nothing more than the flip side of someone else’s flawed perspective. The key is not just to be contrarian for the sake of being different, but to identify real ignorance and counter it with actual truth. A well-formed contrarian stance isn't just about disagreeing—it’s about finding a deeper understanding that others may have missed. A Real-World Example: AI and Writing Since I work in the AI space, I see this all the time. Many writers and marketers attack AI-generated content, claiming that without a human touch, all AI-written content is worthless. There is some truth to that—right now, AI still requires human oversight to ensure quality. But this argument also exposes the ignorance of those making it. Yes, AI still needs human refinement today. But it won’t always. The trajectory of AI development is clear: it is improving rapidly, and soon it will be better than humans at many writing tasks. Those who build their entire marketing message around the idea that "AI content is garbage without a human" are setting themselves up for a reality check. Their argument isn’t rooted in long-term truth—it’s a short-term justification for their own value in the marketplace. If you want to make a strong argument, it has to hold up not just today, but in the future as well. Otherwise, you’re just swapping one form of ignorance for another.

@Karan Tiwari Well said! 🚀 Stephen’s post really nailed the distinction between being contrarian with insight versus just opposing for the sake of it. True thought leadership comes from challenging ideas with real understanding, not just flipping the script without substance. Glad you got value from it—these kinds of perspectives push us all to think deeper! 🙌

@Dorn Just Dorn Haha, love the contrarian spirit! 😆 As long as there’s a solid reason behind it, disagreement is where the best conversations happen. What’s your take on it? 🚀🔥

@Razvan Sava Smart move! A faceless YouTube channel lets you focus purely on content without the pressure of being on camera. It’s all about delivering value—your audience cares more about that than seeing a face! 🚀🔥
