I am self conscience that everytime I say the word 'bien' :the Ahooga - Sound Effect" happens, red light/ anglo alerts go off. But next trip to MTL, I shall give "Ca va bien" a try.

Bonjour!
Bonjour à tous! My name is Patrick and I currently live in New England. I want to improve my French skills because I want to visit Québec more often and interact with locals. I've been to Montréal a number of times and want to get into other parts of the province where English isn't as common. Merci beaucoup!

Hi Partick, in Montréal you might start a conversation in french and the conversation will switch to engish. Last week I used this line : "Il faut parle en français et les Canadiens gagneront ce soir ! " Chatted with a nice young man betwee BarrieUQAM and Monk metro stations.
