Happy Shavuot!
COUNTING THE OMER DAY 47 | SHAVUOT • PENTECOST • THE WEDDING COVENANT Many people know Pentecost as the day the Ruach haKodesh (Holy Spirit) descended on Jerusalem in Acts 2 on Shavuot (aka: Pentecost- the Greek word for Shavuot - meaning “fiftieth.”). But long before tongues of fire rested upon the disciples in Jerusalem… another fire fell upon a mountain in the wilderness. That mountain was Sinai. And that day was Shavuot. The original Shavuot on Sinai and the Shavuot/Pentecost of Acts 2 were separated by nearly 1,500 years. The first Shavuot was not merely the giving of the Commandments. It was a covenant ceremony. A divine wedding. After the Passover deliverance from Egypt, the children of Israel journeyed through the wilderness to Mount Sinai. There, יהוה entered into covenant not only with the twelve tribes of Israel—but also with the foreigners and mixed multitude who came out of Egypt with them. Even more amazing… Deuteronomy 29 says this covenant was not only made with those standing there that day—but also with future generations “not here with us today.” In Hebrew understanding, Passover was the betrothal… and Shavuot was the wedding. At Sinai, the mountain stood beneath the clouds of glory like a great chuppah—a wedding canopy. The people answered the Bridegroom with one voice: “All that יהוה has spoken, we will do.” The Commandments became the ketubah—the marriage covenant. The Commandments were not meant to be chains… but covenant vows between a Bridegroom and His people. Then, nearly 1,500 years later, on the exact same appointed time… Shavuot arrived again. Jerusalem was filled with pilgrims from MANY NATIONS (not just the Jews) bringing firstfruits wheat harvest offerings to the Temple—when suddenly the sound of a mighty rushing wind filled the house. Fire descended again. But this time… not upon a mountain. Upon the people. At Sinai, the Commandments were written on stone tablets. At Pentecost, the Ruach haKodesh (Holy Spirit) was given as a helper to guide believers to the Father’s truth, and empower them to live like His Son (Who kept the commandments).

I know that you are going to hit on topics that most likely ..have not been preached on …things that only deep deep delving into the word and research is something that you’re called & interested in shareing …..and that’s exactly what I want to hear and learn. I really really enjoyed this one. Great, great job Gina. Thank you for your heart👍👍💕📖📖
