Male dominated cucumber plant
I have 2 compact space cucumbers growing in tower garden. One has cucumbers all over it and male/female flowers. The other has many blooms, but no cucumbers. I would say above 95% male. I think I have seen one female that looked healthy. There is a lot of stuff bursting to come out, but should I just pull it? It takes up a lot of space. I get personally connected to the success of these plants, but when do you just walk away?

i finally pulled both cucumber vines out. I think the roots somehow joined. One became all male the other all female. There were so many tiny cucumbers on the female, I think it couldn’t support growing them to anything remotely edible. The male was loving life and taking over my entire garden without being a value add. Ha! May attempt one again, but I need a break from that plant.

I think it will help my tomatoes and eggplants grow now that they are not overrun.
One tower… lettuce vs flowering veggies
Can you grow lettuce type vegetables with flowering in the same tower?

I’m an avid learner who wants to live happy healthy life. One way to achieve that is to grow organic nutritious veggies. Enjoying the journey.
